Present BJP State President Tapir Gao on Thursday  inaugurated the much awaited “Sissen to Leying Rural Link Road”  at Pasighat in East Siang District on the occasion Aaran festival in presence of MLAs TapangTaloh and Olom Panyang and villagers.

To raise sustainable rural infrastructure and to provide basic amenities to the people living in far flung historic Sissen village this road was inaugurated.

Naturally blessed Sissen village is known for highest agri and horti products in Siang belt but boycotted the last general election in 2014, demanding immediate road communication for the village.

Soon after inauguration, Gao while attending a public meeting said that rural economy plays a significant role in our overall economy as it has high potential in terms of labour and natural resources, which are the basic resources in production process.

The State Government is committed to connect every nook and corner of state with the nearest headquarter by providing road connectivity. He further added that the present state government led by Chief Minister, Pema Khandu is committed to providing all basic amenities like safe drinking water, road connectivity, electricity, health, education besides a better lanes and drains to the people across the state.

Gao appealed to the villagers to be a supporter of development process raising above political affiliations. He released a CD, “Dusbin Lo Gelit To” (Throw in dustbin), Lyric by Tajir Siram and Sung by Neptili Mengu on the occasion and appreciated the cleanliness maintained by the villagers under Swachh Bharat Mission

Earlier, MLAs Tapang Taloh and Olom Panyang also appreciated the efforts of the villagers. Responding to a memorandum submitted by Tajir Siram on behalf of Pongging, Sissen, Pangi and Nuggong Banggo, MLA Taloh gave sanction to “Sissen to Reklak via Pongging” road which would help road communication.

Taloh said that provisioning of basic infrastructure facilities would help in tapping the vast resources in the rural areas therefore, the gaps in rural infrastructure need to be addressed properly so as to achieve optimal growth and alleviate poverty.
