Discussions are underway on the proposed Film City in the Himalayan State of Sikkim.

DoNER Minister Jitendra Singh on Wednesday held discussions on the proposal of a Film City in Sikkim.

In the meeting Sikkim’s film policy, eco-heritage film city and Sikkim Global Film Festival were discussed.

“Discussed the proposal of a Film City for Sikkim. Northeast has several picturesque locations which have remained under-utilized because of lack of infrastructure. The Narendra Modi government has already sanctioned a Film and Television Institute for Arunachal Pradesh,” Jitendra Singh said.

Meanwhile, the DoNER Minister has also accepted the invitation from the Sikkim Government to the State’s annual Film Festival scheduled in April.
