Security forces nabbed two National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) rebels from Longding district in Arunachal Pradesh.
Police said on Saturday that they recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
Acting on an intelligence input, personnel of the Londing district police and the Assam Rifles launched a joint operation on Friday evening and apprehended them.
Two Chinese-made .32 mm pistols with live rounds, one smartphone and a mobile SIM card were found on them, the police added.
While one of them belonged to the NSCN (I-M), the other was a member of the NSCN (Unification).
They were allegedly involved in running extortion rackets in the Longding district.
