Police in Tripura seized a massive consignment of Ganja (cannabis) on Sunday at Teliamura in Khowai district.
The sized consignment of ganja is worth Rs 1 crore.
Based on inputs, Teliamura traffic Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) – Sona Charan Jamatia intercepted a truck coming from Agartala at the Hawai Bari Naka Point.
As many as 80 packets of ganja were recovered from the intercepted truck.
The packets of ganja were hidden beneath the vegetables.
Police have also arrested the truck driver in connection with the seizure.
The arrested truck driver has been identified as Shibu Sarkar, who hails from Gamaibari.
