The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has extended the suspension of international flights due to the Covid19 pandemic.
The DGCA issued a circular on Tuesday in this regard.
In the circular, issued by Sunil Kumar, joint director general, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, said: “In partial modification of circular dated 26-06-2020, the competent authority has further extended the validity of circular issued on the subject cited above regarding scheduled international commercial passenger services to/from India till 30th November 2020.”

However, according to the circular, the restriction will not be applicable in the cases of international all-cargo operations and flights, approved by the DGCA.
“This restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA,” the circular said.
“However, international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on case to case basis,” it added.
Last week, the DGCA said it had approved 12,983 weekly domestic flights of airlines in winter schedule from October 25 till March 27 next year, which is around 55% of the permission granted in the pre-Covid times last year.
