Kokrajhar police apprehended two persons and seized illegal arms and fake currency notes from their possession on Thursday night from Kendra Vidyalaya non-teaching staff quarters in Titaguri in Kokrajhar district.
Two duo has been identified as Namalesh Daimary and Digambar Gayary.
Talking to reporters, Kokrajhar Sadar Police Station in-charge Binanda Basumatary said that the police had specific information regarding illegal arms suppliers and fake currency notes exchange.
As per inputs received, the police followed a four-wheeler, which entered the quarters of the non-teaching staff of the Kendriya Vidyalaya .
Accordingly, the police carried out search operation and found a arms .22 pistol with 3 rounds of bullets.
The police also recovered fake currency notes of around 5 lakh.
