A low intensity earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale struck Manipur’s Bishnupur on Thursday at 9.05 pm, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said.
The earthquake hit 17 kilometers west of Bishnupur at a depth of 36 kilometers, the NCS said.
No loss of life or damage to property due to the earthquake was reported.
Earlier on Saturday, an earthquake of magnitude 5.3 was reported near Bishnupur in Manipur.
The epicentre of the earthquake was 30 km west-northwest (WNW) of Bishnupur.
The earthquake struck at 11:08 PM at a depth of 5 km from the surface.
