Shillong Teer, an archery-based lottery, played from every Monday to Saturday. The Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association, which is a group of 12 archery clubs, hosts the lottery.
Every day, 50 archers shoot 30 arrows each at 3:15 pm and 20 arrows in the second round at 4:15 pm.

There are several authorized Teer Betting counters operational over the state.
Every day, tickets for first round of Shillong Teer are sold from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm. and for second round, tickets are sold till 4.30 pm.
Except Sunday, the archery session begins at Polo Ground in Shillong at 3.45 pm.
A person can win Rs 80 for every Re 1 bet on a number in the first round and Rs 60 for every Re 1 spent on the second round.
The game is simple. One has to select the last two digits of the total number of arrows that hit the target. Whoever gets the number right, is the winner of Shillong Teer.
In addition to Shillong Teer, the game is played at three different places —Khanapara Teer, Jowai Teer and Ladrymbai Teer.
