A health awareness program cum cleanliness drive was organized at Angtihara State dispensary and Mini PHC Bhalukmari Dotma in Kokrajhar on Tuesday.
The peoples aid (charitable org) in collaboration with National Health Mission Kokrajhar and KDC of All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) has organized the drive. A lot of people had gathered at the venue to take part in the drive.
During the awareness program President of the peoples aid Nava kumar Basumatary called for a healthy and disease free society and also urged the people of Dotma to work together in achieving a healthy and disease free society.
Together everyone should work with NHM to revive the non-functional sub centers, state dispensery’s, said Dilip Subha BPM of NHM Dotma block. He also spoke about the high risk of teenage pregnancy and the high rate of infant and maternal mortility rate in Dotma area.
Dr Abul kalam Azad and Dr Dipul Swargayary were also present in the awareness program and spoke about various health issues.
