One person died and four others were injured in an accidental blast at United North Block colony in Dimapur on Tuesday.
The blast occurred at around 2 pm.
The injured have been admitted to the hospital.
According to Dimapur Police, as per preliminary investigation, an iron scrap worker was pounding a suspected vintage bomb with a hammer when it went off.
Police said the incident left one person dead and four injured.
An infant, a woman and two men were among the injured.
