AIUDF supremo Badruddin Ajmal and his brother Sirajuddin Ajmal have also tested COVID-19 positive.
This was disclosed to Northeast Now by a highly places source on Saturday.
According to the source, both the Ajmal brothers are presently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mumbai.
Notably, Dhubri parliamentarian Badruddin Ajmal is an acute diabetic for quite some time.

His blood sugar level was low for the last few days.
He had disclosed through his facebook post that he was unable to combat the coronavirus.
On the other hand, his brother and former Barpeta MP, Sirajuddin Ajmal has also suffering from other diseases in recent times.
However, no official confirmation has come from the AIUDF in this regard.
Notably, BJP legislator from Sadiya, Balin Chetia also tested COVID-19 positive on Saturday.

Former Congress MP Sushmita Dev also tested COVID-19 positive on Thursday last.
The State has registered 15536 COVID-19 positive cases till date.
However, a total of 9848 persons have already been discharged from several hospitals across the State after completely recovering from the lethal disease.
Till date, 35 patients have died of COVID-19 related complications.
