A school girl committed suicide in Tripura on Thursday.
The local people alleged that the school girl is from a very poor family.
She took the extreme step as her father failed to purchase an android mobile phone for her online classes.
Due to this the girl was very upset and committed suicide by hanging herself with her clothes.
The incident took place at Thakurmura area of Sonamura subdivision in Sepahijala district.
She was a student of class eight of a local school.
Her father Fulu Nama is a construction labourer.
Due to lockdown and coronavirus pandemic situations he has not much of work.
The family was suffering from a financial crisis.
Since the last few days, Anamika was telling her father to buy a smartphone for her classes.

This is the second incident in Tripura in recent times.
Earlier a man had committed suicide after failing to buy a smart phone for her daughter’s online class.
