Another BJP MLA in Assam tests positive for COVID-19

Barkhetri MLA Narayan Deka has tested positive for COVID-19, sources said.

Deka’s swab samples were collected on Tuesday.

“Barkhetri MLA Narayan Deka’s swab test reports came today and he has tested positive for COVID-19,” sources said on Wednesday.

Apart from Deka, hi son Kapilakshya Kashyap also tested positive for COVID-19.

Deka was on a tour of his constituency almost a week back.

It has been known that Deka experienced some uneasiness on Tuesday and hence he went for his swab test.

Earlier, Patharkandi legislator Krishendu Pal also tested positive for COVID-19.

Pal is reportedly out of danger and is currently under home quarantine.

Moreover, four PSOs of state BJP president Ranjit Dass has also tested positive for COVID-19.
