One Hemanga Majumdar (45) dies of COVID-19 in Guwahati on Sunday at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
A resident of Kahilipara area of the city, Majumdar was admitted to the hospital in a critical state.
Even though the doctors tried their best, however, Majumdar could not be saved.
In a tweet, state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Sad to inform that one Hemanga Majumdar, 45 yrs old, resident of Khanapara, Guwahati died due to COVID-19 today in GMCH.”
“He was brought to the hospital late, in a critical state. The doctors could not save him. My sincere condolences to the bereaved family,” the tweet added.
