The Arunachal Pradesh Government has ushered in an era of significant changes for the State that will render the State as a more vibrant destination and a hotspot for tourist activities in the years to come, a government spokesperson said on Tuesday.

The State Government has already taken a significant step in that matter by launching the Digital Arunachal Mission, for which the Centre has already sanctioned an amount of Rs 17, 049 crores.

Satya Gopal, Chief Secretary to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh said that the State will also be launching fixed wing aircrafts which will be operational from Pasighat to Tezu Advance Landing Grounds (ALGS).

Satya Gopal, who was addressing the people of the State on the occasion of the 32nd Statehood Day, said that the Government is deeply committed to root out corruption entirely from the system.

In that matter, he said that the State Government has already handed over the multi crore public distribution system scam to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for investigation last year.

“The government has taken up stern measures to improve the law and order conditions of the State and has also cancelled all illegal appointments in the State Education Department,” the Chief Secretary said.

The Central Government has also sanctioned funds amounting to Rs 28 crore for setting up a Tribal Research Institute in the State along with two hydro electric projects, which will be commissioned by April.

The Chief Secretary also lauded the NDA Government for including Itanagar and Pasighat in its Smart City list.
