A youth from Doomdomia in Nagaon district was arrested by the police for allegedly posting obscene and derogatory comments about Batadrava legislator Angoorlata Deka.
Police said that the youth had opened a fake social media account and posted the derogatory and obscene comments on Angoorlata Deka’s social media handle.
The youth has been identified as Abhinandan Nath.
During interrogation, the youth said that he made the comments as the MLA did not pay any attention to his complaints that he made about the deplorable condition of the Doomdomia to Batadrava road.
Till the filing of this report, the MLA was yet made an official statement.
