BSF troops deployed in the International border in Tripura have seized a huge cache of narcotics and contraband items worth Rs 30,58,213.
A BSF press release said that a special operation based on specific intelligence input was carried out by the personnel of 80 Battalion BSF with the police team of Sundertilla Outpost under Sidhai on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.
“The BSF troops seized 650 Yaba Tablets, 19 kilograms Ganja, 250 bottles of Phensedyl and other miscellaneous contrabands,” the release stated.
“The combined value of the seized items is Rs 30,58,213,” the release added.
The search operation was conducted at the residences of Swapon Deb Barma, Hemanta Deb Barma and Aghar Deb Barma- all of whom are residents of Bhuban Choudhary Para, Mohanpur in West Tripura District.
