United Peoples’ Party Liberal (UPPL) president Pramod Boro on Monday alleged that the Bodoland Peoples’ Front (BPF) under the leadership of Hagrama Mohilary has been trying to create unrest in BTAD region of Assam.

Boro alleged UPPL party workers were attacked by BPF goons at Kachugaon constituency under the Gossaigaon sub-division in Kokrajhar district.

Talking to reporters, Pramod Boro said UPPL had lodged FIRs but still the culprits are not been arrested by the district administration.

He demanded that the perpetrators of violence in the region should be arrested as soon as possible.

Boro urged that the BTC IGP & DIG and district administration to take stern action against those who have been involving in attacks of UPPL workers at Kachugaon.

Boro also appealed to the state chief minister Sarbananda Sonawal to keep eyes on Kachugaon incidents where UPPL workers were attacked by the BPF partymen and urged him to restore lasting peace in the region.
