The number of COVID-19 positive cases in Mizoram rose to 102 on Thursday.

Nine more tested positive during the last 24 hours.

This was informed in a tweet by the state DIPR which is tracking the COVID-19 scenario in the State.

State chief minister Zoramthanga in his official Twitter handle has sought the cooperation from one and all in the fight against the pandemic.

He tweeted:

‘Covid-19 status of Mizoram as on 11.06.2020 at 07:00 am.

Now there’s no either ‘Me or You’ in this fight; rather its ‘Us’ who has to win this war.

At present, there are 101 active cases in the State.

Notably, the first patient detected with coronavirus has completely recovered from the disease and was released from the hospital before the migrants started coming back to the State.

At that point in time there was no other COVID-19 case in the State.

The State was declared COVID-19 free.

But as soon as the people residing in other states started returning, the State witnessed a rise in COVID-19 cases.

The State has not witnessed any COVID-19 related death so far.
