The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) to start video classes on Higher Secondary classes through Doordarshan Kendra Guwahati from June 11.

The initiative has been taken for the students of Higher Secondary classes in Assam in collaboration with the State Council of Educational Research & Training, Assam.

AHSEC secretary Manoranjan Kakati has informed that the students will be able to take benefit of the video classes four days a week – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

The video classes will be held between 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm.

“In this regard, the viewers are requested to download the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad,” the AHSEC said in a press statement.

The video classes are likely to help many students of Higher Secondary standards across Assam as the classes in the educational institutes are yet to resume due to the COVID19 pandemic.

Union HRD Minister Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal in a recent interview said the schools and colleges, which have remained closed in view of COVID19 pandemic, will reopen only after August 15 this year.

The educational institutes in the country have remained closed since around March 16.
