Baghjan fire

Two fire fighters of Oil India Limited (OIL) are missing since Tuesday after the massive fire that broke at the Baghjan production well of Oil India Limited in eastern Assam’s Tinsukia.

The fire fighters have been identified as Durlav Gogoi and Tileswar Gohain.

According to OIL official, both the fire fighters have gone missing since Tuesday after the fire broke out at the production well of Baghjan 5.

Fire tenders of OIL were pressed into service to douse the inferno.

“Till now we are not being able to trace the whereabouts of the fire fighters. Search team has been formed and they are searching for both of them,” an OIL official said.

On Tuesday, a massive fire broke out at the production well of Baghjan 5 under Baghjan Oil field of OIL, which was blownout on May 27.

According to sources, the three experts from Singpore were present at the site when the production well blasted and caught fire.

The three experts reached Duliajan on Sunday to control the disaster at Baghjan oil well.
