Total COVID-19 cases in Meghalaya rose to 31 after a person who had recently returned from Uttar Pradesh tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday afternoon.

A resident of Meghalaya who had returned from Agra, Uttar Pradesh has tested positive for COVID19,” tweeted Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.

“Person is under quarantine in Jowai, West Jaintia Hills District,” he added.

 

With this, the total active cases in the state rose with 17.

So far 13 patients have recovered and one person has succumbed to COVID-19 in Meghalaya.
