Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb said that the coming two months be of utmost importance for the state as he laid stress on mandatory home quarantine of everyone coming to the state from other parts of the country.

“The next two months would be an ordeal for us as nearly 50,000 people of the state who are stranded outside are set to return,” he said in a video message on Thursday night.

“Some of these people will be COVID-19 positive and this is going to be very critical for the state,” he added.

“Hence, it is crucial that in the next two months, anyone who comes from outside, are home quarantined for 14 days,” he added.

Recently four people, who returned from Chennai, were found COVID-19 positive.

He also appealed the people to follow the lockdown protocols strictly.
