The results of the Bina Chowdhury Online Mathematics Competition 2020, organised by Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT) Guwahati, have been declared.

As per the results, Ayush Das of Don Bosco Senior Secondary School (Class XII), Panbazar and Himangshu Lahkar of Delhi Public School, IOCL Township, Digboi (Class XII) won the first prize.

Anindita Sarkar of Maharishi Vidya Mandir-4, Barsajai, Guwahati (Class XII) and Abhigyan Das of International School, Guwahati (Class XII) won the second prize.

Priyanka Golchha of Don Bosco Senior Secondary School (Class XII) and Udeshna Mali of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Borjhar (Class XI) won the third prize.

According to the result sheet, while the 1st prize winners secured 75 marks out of 120 in the competition organized on May 15, the second prize winners secured 70 marks out of 120.

The third prize winners secured 65 marks out of 120.

The first prize winners will receive Rs 3,000 each as the prize money, the second prize winners will receive Rs 2,000 each and the third prize winners will receive Rs 1,000 each as the prize money, the organizing committee has informed.

The results were announced on the basis of the answers received by the participants of Bina Chowdhury Online Mathematics Competition-2020 (BCMC-2020).

“Due to the same marks secured by two contestants of one category of prize, the organizing committee announced two winners for each category of prizes,” informed Prof Dilip Kr. Sarma, organizing secretary, BCMC-2020, who is also the HoD of the Mathematics Department, GIMT Guwahati.

Prof Sarma has congratulated all the winners of BCMC-2020 and best of luck to all the participants of the competition.

“The organizing committee is also thankful to the parents and mentors of all participants of BCMC-2020 for extending their support to the participants,” said Prof Sarma.

He also announced that all participants shall receive an E-Certificate for their participation in BCMC-2020 which will be sent to their registered emails.

“The winner’s E-Certificate will be sent to all winners in their registered emails. Organizing committee will contact the individual winners regarding online transfer of the prize money,” the organizing secretary further said.
