Earlier, the state cabinet had decided to ask all its employees to come back to work in full strength from April 15.

The Centre has denied the report which had claimed that Central Government employees will have to work 10 hours daily from 9 am till 7 pm after the lifting of lockdown.

The report had also claimed that the Central Government employees will have to work even on Saturdays.

The government’s official fact-checker, PIB Fact Check, on Saturday described the report to be Fake.

The central government has not made any such decision, and is also not even considering any such proposal.

Last week, a report falsely claimed that the government was planning to cut allowances like LTA, leave encashment and medical of central government employees.

The government denied having any plan to deprive its employees of the allowances.

There is no proposal for any cut in any allowances including LTC, leave encashment during LTC or leave encashment on retirement, over-time allowance and medical reimbursement, the Finance Ministry said.

All payments of allowances will be continued to be paid as per existing norms, the ministry said.

The Central Government recently suspended Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief hikes for its employees and pensioners. However, the employees will continue to get DA at the current rates.
