Shops Nagaland: KCCI asks business community to extend solidarity against intimidation

Assam Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna on Saturday informed that the government hasn’t decided on any relaxation to the ongoing lockdown.

“There has been no decision yet by the state government regarding relaxation to the ongoing lockdown,” Krishna said.

“Shops, beauty parlours, shopping malls etc would remain closed as it has so far,” he further said.

The DIPR, Assam, further tweeted that a decision in this regard will be taken on Monday.

Additional Deputy General of Police (Law and Order) GP Singh has also confirmed that the union home ministry’s new order to open single shops will not be implemented in Assam until there is an order by the state government.

In an order on Friday, the union home ministry said that all shops registered under Shops and Establishment Act of the respective state/UT, including shops in residential complexes and market complexes, except shops in multi-brand and single-brand malls, outside the limits of municipal corporations and municipalities, with 50 per cent strength of workers would be allowed to operate.
