Following the #sendusbackhome campaign began trending on Twitter a couple of days back, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to send 250 buses to bring back 7,000 students stranded in Kota, Rajasthan due to the lockdown.

The buses will reach Kota on Friday night and will leave for Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning.

The students will be screened for COVID-19 before they are sent back.

The news has brought relief to a number of students and they have thanked the government for taking the step.

Some students had completed their course in January-February itself, however, they decided to stay back for some other preparation when they got stuck amid the lockdown.
