Amid nationwide COVID-19 lockdown an organization named ‘Assam Society of Bangalore’ with the help of Bangalore City Police distributing food to the poor who are struggling to earn a single meal a day.
They distributed food to daily wage workers and security guards who are financially not strong and urgent need of food and shelter at Bangaluru.
Speaking to the correspondent, Hirak Jyoti Kakati, general seceratery of Assam Society of Bangalore said, “We are arranging food through Bangalore City Police. DCP South East Division Shrinath Joshi who is also nodal officer for Northeast in Bengaluru is taking lead on this and through him we are distributing food to the marginalized people.”
