Every organisation and individual from all walks of life have come together in the fight against coronavirus and they are offering their every possible help.

The Mokokchung Police on Wednesday donated protective suit, mask and hand gloves to the medical department as the department gears up to stop the spread of coronavirus.

The presentation was carried out in presence of Mokokchung district commissioner Sachin Jaiswal.

Even though no positive case has been reported yet from Nagaland, but the state government has taken up every measure to stop the spread of the disease in the state.

The Nagaland government on Tuesday urged the Centre to set up COVID-19 testing laboratory in the state on an urgent basis as they did in Iran to evacuate stranded Indians.

Nagaland has already intensified preparations to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) said the situation in the state, where healthcare workers are put to work without much protective gear and equipment, is a cause for serious concern.

The Nagaland Congress appealed to all political parties to come together and secure the lives and future of the people caught in the quagmire of this global pandemic.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has assigned ministers and advisors with the districts to monitor implementation of effective measures for prevention and control of COVID-19 in the State.

The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has also set up its state emergency operation centre at Keiziekhe in Kohima.
