In the wake of the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), Arunachal Pradesh government has decided to suspend issuing temporary or provisional Inner Line Permit (ILP) and e-ILP in the state.

The government on Tuesday ordered suspension of issuing temporary or provisional ILP and e-ILP in the state.

Thus, all ILP issuing authorities in the state and out of the state are directed suspend issuing of ILP and e-ILP until further order.

The administrative offices of East Siang and Lower Siang districts bordering to Dhemaji of Assam have stopped issuing if ILP from Tuesday, thereby restricted entry of Non-Arunachali citizens into the district.

The authority also closed down the weekly markets in order to prevent mass gathering.

However, the authority will continue renewal of regular ILP as usual.

The health department has started screening of the domestic passengers, who have returned from other states via Ruksin gate.

The health officials used non-contact infra-red thermometer for the screening.

East Siang district administration has approached Dhemaji administration of bordering Assam to have a joint effort in preventing entry of the dreaded virus in the boundary areas.

District medical officer of East Siang Kaling Dai informed that a group of doctors took training state level training on Coronavirus.

The trained doctors are all set to conduct phase-wise training for the medical staffs, village level health workers and Anganwadi workers from March 18.

The doctors have suggested the people to report any health problems such as flue, cough and respiratory problems.

The cops posted in Ruksin PS are helping the activities as they interrogate passengers entering to the district and collecting there address and whereabouts.

The administration has also launched a helpline number–9436055743 for queries related to Covid-19.
