Two bikers were killed in an accident at Paltan Bazaar in Guwahati on Sunday night.
The duo was mowed down by a water tanker at around 10:25 pm on Sunday night.
The deceased have been identified Dhurva Kalita of Ujjal Nagar in Dhirenpara.
He was 29 years of age.
The other has been identified as one Nilotpal Nath, aged around 28 years and a resident of Fatasil Ambari.
According to the traffic police sources, the duo was on a bike bearing registration number AS-01-DF-3448 towards Ulubari.
The water tanker bearing registration number AS-01-CC-7528 coming from the opposite side mowed them down.
While one of them died on the spot, the other breathed his last at the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital.
