With the situation continuing to be tense, the district administration of East Khasi Hills district in Meghalaya has extended curfew at several places across Shillong from 6 am on on Tuesday.

The areas where curfew continues to be imposed are Iewduh or Bara Bazaar, Motphran, Police Bazaar and Iew Mawlong.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the first day of the HSSLC examinations, the overall attendance of candidates in Shillong city was 99.20 per cent.

All security arrangements have been made in different examination centres.

The State Government has arranged buses for students appearing the MBoSE examinations.

The head of institutions are requested to persuade the students to avail the bus facilities.
