The Gauhati High Court on Thursday ordered NDFB (R) chief Ranjan Daimary to surrender before the validity of his interim bail period is over.
Daimary was granted interim bail on January 24 by GHC for taking part in the signing of the Bodo Peace Accord.
The accord was signed on January 27 in New Delhi.
Refusing to extend his bail period, the court said Daimary should surrender first and then he can for a fresh bail plea.
The GHC will hear a plea seeking hid bail on February 25.
