4 convicts in Nirbhaya case to be hanged on March 3

The date and time is final —- the four convicts in the Nirbhaya case will be hanged at 6 pm on March 3.

The order was given by the Supreme Court while hearing pleas on the issuing of fresh death warrants.

Asha Devi, Nirbhaya’s mother said she is happy with the court’s decision. She said she is hopeful that justice will be served.

However, AP Singh, the counsel of the four convicts said that they will use all possible legal remedies to seek justice to save the four convicts from hanging.

Singh said he will move the court and demand justice for the four convicts, and alleged that the judgement has been given in haste.

The lawyer also accused the media of pressurising the judiciary.
