Thailand’s health ministry on Sunday said a new drug that had been used for treating a Chinese woman infected with coronavirus had shown good results.
The 71-year-old woman had shown dramatic improvement after she had been treated with the new drug which is a cocktail of anti-virals used to treat flu and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
The doctors mixed the anti-flu drug oseltamivir with lopinavir and ritonavir, anti-virals used to treat HIV.

As per reports, the Chinese lady tested negative for the coronavirus after she had been treated with the new medicine.
“The lab result of positive on the coronavirus turned negative in 48 hours. From being exhausted before, she could sit up in bed 12 hours later,” a doctor said.

Meanwhile, the death toll due to coronavirus outbreak in China increased to 361 on Sunday.
India on Sunday confirmed its second case of coronavirus infection in Kerala.
The second patient is also a student from Wuhan in China.
The first confirmed case of coronavirus infection in India was also reported from Kerala.
A medical student of Kerala had been first tested positive for coronavirus in India.

Moreover, a second Air India flight brought back 323 Indians including seven Maldives citizens back to New Delhi from Wuhan.
On Saturday, 324 Indians were brought back from Wuhan and admitted to the quarantine facilities set up by the Army and the ITBP.
