Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Air Command (EAC) Air Marshal RD Mathur arrived in Sonitpur district on a day-long visit to the Air Force Station Missamari on Wednesday.

Air Marshal RD Mathur was accompanied by the president Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional), EAC, Shipra Mathur.

They were received by Group Captain RK Misra, Station Commander, Air Force Station Missamari and AFWWA (Local) president Pallavi Misra.

On arrival, Air Marshal Mathur was briefed about the operations being undertaken by Air Force Station Missamari.

He inspected all the units and important sections of the Air Force station and the ongoing infrastructure projects.

During interaction with air warriors, Air Marshal Mathur emphasized the need to keep pace with new technological developments to ensure the earliest and complete integration of these capabilities in IAF’s operational plan.

He exhorted air warriors to remain physically fit and be ever ready to respond to any contingencies.

The president of AFWWA (Regional), EAC, Shipra Mathur, visited various ventures being managed by AFWWA (Local) of Air Force Station Missamari and interacted with the Sanginis.
