The All Riew Students’ Union (ARSU) celebrated its three days long 35th Annual Students’ Meet with much enthusiasm in Arunachal Pradesh.

The programme was held at Riew Village under Rebo Perging block in Siang District where students, gaon burahs, panchayat leaders and general public also participated.

In the annual meet the ARSU members resolved to strive for quality education and fight against the evil and social menace of gambling, tobacco and use of drugs.

These are growing like cancer among the present society and need of the hour is to do it away by students’ participation themselves by motivating and spreading awareness.

As a part of the programe, ARSU members with Adi Students’ Union (AdiSU) leaders who attended the meet as guests visited the Upper Primary School Riew and Primary Sub Centre Riew to take stock of the school and health centre’s condition.

During the visit, the team ARSU and AdiSU found it to be without teachings staffs, proper class rooms, furniture, medicines, electricity, water and other basic facilities, informed AdiSU sources.

The AdiSU appealed the concerned department to look into shortcomings favourably at the earliest.

Nonong Jamoh, chief advisor and Kalen Tadeng, Speaker Adi Students’ Union graced the three-day celebration as chief guest and guest of honour along with other AdiSU and DSU members.
