Assam swimmer Shivangi Sharma has won two more medals at the 13th South Asian Games in Kathmandu.
Shivangi, representing the Indian team, won 800 m freestyle relay gold and 400m freestyle individual silver at the 13th SAG.
She earlier won two silver medals including one in 100 m freestyle finishing at 58.15 and in the 200m freestyle in the games.
In 400 m freestyle, Indian swimmer Shivangi Sharma won the silver finishing second at 4.26.22.
Meanwhile, India’s medal tally in the SAG was – 252 medals including 132 gold, 78 silver, and 42 bronze medals.
It may be mentioned that swimming sensation Gaurika Singh created history in the 13th South Asian Games when she became the first Nepali athlete to win three gold medals in a single meet here at the International Sports Complex pool.
In 200 metre freestyle, Shivangi, the 17-year-old swimmer from Assam, finished second at 2:07.19 while Bangladesh’s Junayna Ahmed came third at 2:12.83.

Swimmer Gaurika Singh ended Nepal’s gold medal drought in the 13th South Asian Games at Kathmandu and emerged as the third Nepali athlete to have won three gold medals.
The two other record holder Nepali players are legendary marathon runner Baikuntha Manandhar and taekwondo player Ayasha Shakya.
Gaurika won the 400m freestyle gold medal to take her tally to three gold medals in four days.
She won the event in four minutes and 25.28 seconds, finishing ahead of India’s Shivangi and Sri Lanka’s Ramudi Nulara Samarakoon who finished third at 4:41.91.
Singh won the maiden individual gold medal when she finished the 200m freestyle event in two minutes and 5.06 seconds.
Shivangi Sarma of India was second with 2:07.19, while Bangladesh’s Junayna Ahmed came third in 2:12.83.
Meanwhile, Assam’s Rodali Barua on Thursday won gold representing the Indian Kyorugi team at the 13th SAG.
Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal congratulated the young athlete and sent best wishes to her.
Weightlifter Sidhant Gogoi from Assam also won a gold medal at the ongoing 13th South Asian Games.
Gogoi bagged a gold medal in the men’s weightlifting 61 kg category on Thursday.
The weightlifter had lifted a total weight of 264 kg.
