Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi, attending the second round of Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD)-cum-Jan Sunwai camp in Tawang district on Friday, said only education can bring social change.

“Educate your children to be good citizens. Education is the only key which can bring enlightenment and social changes,” he said.

The second round of Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD)-cum-Jan Sunwai camp for 2019-20 fiscal in Tawang district was held at Shobur Upper Primary School.

The camp covered five villages– Tsaikhar, Gomkang, Yusum, Shobur, Kangteng and a few hamlets.

The MLA inaugurated the camp and expressed his gratitude to the State government for initiating the SAD camps and enabling villagers to avail the benefits of the government machinery at their doorsteps.

“I had the opportunity to attend the first SAD camp at Mago, one of the most interior villages, last month,” he said.

“An educated farmer can grow better crops, we need to give better skill development and character-building education to our younger generations,” he added.

The MLA assured the villagers to provide solar fencing keeping in view the menace of boar and other wild animals destroying their crops.
