The factory unit of the Golden Trans Power Company, a manufacturing company of electric cables and transformers was inaugurated at Tera Urak Industrial Estate in Manipur’s Bishnupur district on Monday.

Textiles, commerce and industries minister Thongam Biswajit Singh, chairman L Radhakishor Singh of Manipur Pollution Control Board and local MLA besides managing director L Priyokumar of Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited attended the inaugural function of the factory unit of the company.

Speaking on the occasion, minister Biswajit lauded the proprietor of the Golden Trans Power Company and suggested them to manufacture value products in standardized quality of export quality.

Maintaining that under Industrial policy, he said 30 per cent of the company products will be bought by the state government and added that maximum number of entrepreneurs will minimized unemployment problem in the State.

Praising the effort of the entrepreneurs for their successful ventures and initiatives taken up in different industrial estates of the State, the power minister said that the power scenario has considerably improved in the State.

He encouraged entrepreneurs to come up with innovative ideas and also announced that best performing entrepreneur will be awarded for their efforts and contribution.

In his speech, managing director L Priyokumar Singh of MSPDCL stated that at present, 20 numbers of transformers of MSPDCL is being repaired at the Golden Trans Power Company, as the repairing unit of MSPDCL is not able to meet the demands.

Out of which 17 numbers of transformers has been repaired without compromising on the quality.

He also encouraged the entrepreneurs to follow the footsteps of the Golden Trans power Company.

Golden Trans Power Company was set up in 2018 for developing industrial growth in the state of Manipur.

It has been manufacturing electric cables and transformers and they are targeting to cater the requirement of the Government of Manipur along with the north-eastern region.

The officials of MSPDCL, members of All Manipur Entrepreneur Associations among others attended the day’s function.
