In fond memory of four Sivasagar Division’s Forest martyrs a shraddhanjali and adyashraddha programme was organized in the office campus of Assam’s Sivasagar Division (Territorial) on Thursday.
The forest personnel lost their lives while on duty in an unfortunate road mishap in the early morning of August 30, 2019.
Attending the programme, the Chief Conservator of Forest (HQ) Utpal Kumar Bora, Deputy Commissioner Dr. S Lakshmanan, Superintendent of Police Amitava Sinha, Divisional Forest Officer (Territorial) of Sivasagar Jayashri Naiding offered floral tributes to the four Forest department personnel.
They prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls.
During the programme, foundation stone for the forest martyrs’ memorial was also laid in the office campus of the DFO (Territorial).
The programme was also attended by the family members of the forest martyrs, officials of various government departments, officers and staff of the Forest department and other dignitaries.
