The students of Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT) were recently briefed about the nitty-gritty of working in the IT industry.
Students of the department of computer science and engineering recently attended a talk titled ‘IT Industry and its Challenges’.
Through the talk, the students were exposed to the challenges the IT industry have.
Overall 80 students of the 5th and 7th semester of the department attended the talk.
Assistant consultant of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Dibyajyoti Das delivered the talk.
In his deliberations, Das gave put forward an overview of the IT industry.
He explained at length about the pros and cons of working in the industry.
Das also gave an overview of the different projects handled by TCS.
Head of department Dr Th Shanta Kumar and assistant professor Pinky Saikia Dutta also attended the talk.
