A 14-year-old student from Tripura will get the rare opportunity to witness moon landing of Chandrayaan-2 live at the headquarters of Indian Research Space Organisation (ISRO) in Bangalore on September 7.
Ankur Roy, a class IX student of Dolubari Gate High School in Dhalai district, has been selected among the 60 children from all across the country for watching India’s ambitious moon mission Chandrayaan 2 landing on the moon.
Apart from Ankur, three other students from Northeast–Tejashwini Gajurel from Assam, Kumar Lige Basar from Arunachal Pradesh and Ribait Phawa from Meghalaya–also will witness the moon landing of Chandrayaan 2 live from ISRO headquarters.
They have been selected to witness the historic moment by ISRO through the Chandrayaan 2 quiz competition on space technology.
They will witness the Chandrayaan-2 landing with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other scientists at ISRO.
