With an objective to clean the township of Pasighat in phase wise manner, the All Bogong Students’ Union conducted its 1st phase dirt-free mission cleanliness drive at ‘Giidii Notko’ (all community festival ground) near Sibo Korong bridge on Saturday.

The cleanliness drive was also attended by Pasighat East MLA, Kaling Moyong, additional deputy commissioner, Pasighat, Tatdo Borang, SE PWD, Er Tapi Darang besides Central Solung Festival Committee-2019 President, Mongol Gao, District BJP Mahila Morcha President, Yalem Taga Burang and others.

Organizer of the clean drive, advocate Magyar Lego who led the clean drive of ABSU said that, the basic objective of the cleanliness drive is to make Pasighat town clean and also to make people aware about the importance of cleanliness.

“Hygienic and cleaned living environment is required in Pasighat town which is fast becoming a smart city, we have started our drive from Raneghat bridge and shall end at Sawmill area in 2 Mile,” added Lego.

Meanwhile, in his message, MLA Kaling Moyong deeply admired the clean initiative taken up by the ABSU and he opined hope that, the union will continue its subsequent phase wise drive to cover whole of the township.

“After the outbreak of Japanese Encephalitis in the township the urgent need of keeping our surrounding cleaned was felt mostly and such clean drive is a welcome move and all other denizen of Pasighat needs to conduct similar programme under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”, added Moyong.

While, Central Solung Festival Celebration Committee 2019 President, Mongol Gao also extended his best wishes and thankfulness to the organizers of dirt free mission and ABSU for conducting a major clean drive at Giidii Notko where Solung festival will be celebrated with great pomp & show September next.
