Hojai Public Health Engineering Department distributed Piped Water Supply scheme (MOU) between 16 Gaon Panchayat presidents in Assam’s Hojai on Thursday.
A meeting was organized, which was presided over by executive engineer Amal Chandra Bhagwati.
A total of 24 piped water supply schemes have been completed in 16 gaon panchayats of Jugijaan and Dhelphukuri Development Block.
The objective of the meeting was briefly shared by junior engineer Maruf Ahmed Chaudhaury.
As per Amal Chandra Bhagwati, “In Hojai district there are a total of 164 piped water supply scheme (PWSS).”
“Today 24 PWSS MOU which have been completed were distributed among different gaon panchayat representatives,” he added.
He said PWSS which has stopped working or are damaged will be repaired soon.
“Our aim is to supply pure drinking water to the people,” Bhagwati added.
